Kai Havertz ‘agreed personal terms’ with Chelsea hints pundit
Kai Havertz is edging closer to joining Chelsea, with Bayer Leverkusen completing the relevant paperwork for the transfer. The Germany international is set to join the Blues for a deal that could be worth up to £90million.
Havertz is set to fly to London in the coming days to complete his club-record transfer. He will surpass Kepa Arrizabalaga as the most expensive signing in the club's history.
He is expected to sign a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge and will become Chelsea's third signing of the window if he beats Thiago Silva and Ben Chilwell in putting pen to paper.
Leverkusen are eager to sell Havertz by the end of the week, which is when their first-team squad are due back for pre-season training following their Europa League exploits.
In addition the paperwork, the Bundesliga outfit are also working on a replacement for Havertz having set their sights on AS Roma forward Patrik Schick, according to journaist Fabrizio Romano.
