Champions League: Gnabry reacts to Bayern Munich victory
Philippe Coutinho had a classy message for Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar after Sunday night’s Champions League final, with the PSG forward crestfallen at the final whistle. Bayern Munich defeated PSG 1-0 in Lisbon thanks to a Kingsley Coman header.
Neymar had to be persuaded to collect his runners-up medal after a disappointing night in Lisbon for the forward.
The PSG star was heavily marked whenever he had the ball and failed to make a difference in the final.
He showed flashes of brilliance, and created chances when running at the Bayern defence, but was ultimately unable to create a goal for the Parisiens.
Neymar ended up being booked late in the game after lashing out with a late tackle on Thomas Muller, a sign of the forward’s frustration at getting closed out of the game.

The on-loan playmaker said: “I have told Neymar that he has had a great season and that he is a great player.
“He will fight many more times both for this and for the title of best player in the world.”
