Barcelona: Pundits discuss Messi’s future after Setien sacking
Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has opened up on Barcelona’s 8-2 Champions League win over PSG. The result stunned the footballing world, with the Catalan giants sacking Quique Setien in the aftermath. And they’re now under pressure to appease Lionel Messi, who is hurt in the aftermath.
Barcelona were thumped by Bayern Munich on Friday night, with the Catalan giants putting in an abysmal performance in a 8-2 defeat.
Philippe Coutinho and Thomas Muller both bagged braces for the Bundesliga side, with Ivan Perisic, Joshua Kimmich, Serge Gnabry and Robert Lewandowski also finding the net.
And Kroos has now opened up on the reaction of Real Madrid players, admitting they found it an amusing evening.
“You can imagine that there was no pain,” said the Germany international.

Kroos also admitted that he didn’t actually tune in for the contest, with Real Madrid dumped out of the Champions League by Manchester City earlier in the month.
However, he reflected on Barcelona’s defeat to Roma two years ago - saying players were running up and down in jubilation.
“People were running up and down in front of my room and screaming,” the 30-year-old said.
“I didn't see it, but there must be other players. Everybody lives it that way here.”
With Barcelona now very much a club in crisis, Messi’s future at the Nou Camp has been called into question amid longstanding transfer interest from Manchester City.
