Man Utd train for Europa League clash against Sevilla
Inter Milan are ready to make a third swoop on Manchester United in under a year this time they have got England international Chris Smalling in their sights. Antonio Conte has already lured Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez away from Old Trafford and is set to enter the £20 million race for Smalling.
Smalling is keen to return to Serie A where he enjoyed a successful campaign with Roma, but a permanent switch has stalled over United’s demands with Roma only offering £12 million.
But Conte was impressed by Smalling’s displays in the Italian capital especially the way that he adapted to playing in a three-man central defence and wants him at the San Siro.
Smalling is believed to be willing to take a cut on the £130,000-a-week contract which still has two years left to run to secure a return to Italy before the transfer window closes.
United are hoping to use player sales to help fund their incoming signings.

The Red Devils are hoping to land Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, while Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish is also a target.
United and Dortmund are currently miles apart on their valuation of Sancho, 20.
The German giants are demanding £108m for the England international, while United are hoping to pay around £80m.
Dortmund chiefs Michael Zorc and Sebastian Kehl have both confirmed Sancho will stay in Germany this summer in a stern warning to United.

"It was important to get clarity on the subject," Kehl said.
"We know about Jadon's attractiveness, but also of his importance to us. He gives our team that little extra. We're happy that he's staying."
However, United haven't given up hope of landing Sancho and the deal could be completed before the transfer window shuts on October 5.
