Tammy Abraham discusses his development at Chelsea
Tammy Abraham is determined to fight for his place in the Chelsea team as Frank Lampard's transfer plans are set to push him further down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge. Timo Werner has arrived from RB Leipzig and Kai Havertz is set to make the switch from Bayer Leverkusen.
Striker Werner will directly challenge Abraham and Olivier Giroud for the centre-forward position.
Lampard may be tempted to play Abraham out wide next year because of the talent at his disposal.
However, versatile midfielder Havertz can also be utilised on the wing so Abraham will be in for a difficult battle.
But the England international is prepared to roll up his sleeves and use the extra competition as motivation.
“This is Chelsea Football Club, there's always going to be high standards and high competition and this is something I've been dreaming of since I was a kid," he said.

"I've always been fighting for it, it's never come easy, it wasn't easy at the start of the season but I worked my way into the team and that's what I've got to keep doing.”
Abraham lost his place in the team over the last few weeks as Lampard opted for Giroud to lead the line.
The 22-year-old was trusted with a start in Saturday's 4-1 Champions League defeat against Bayern Munich and he repaid the faith with a goal.
”We're a new young side, with a new manager and so we have to be pleased with ourselves," he said.
