Juventus are moving in a new direction after sacking Maurizio Sarri and it could hamper Chelsea's summer transfer plans. The Serie A giants were knocked out of the Champions League on Friday night after Lyon fought of a Cristiano Ronaldo-inspired comeback.
Lyon held a 1-0 lead from the round of 16 first-leg tie back in February.
And they scored an all-important away goal early on in the second leg after Memphis Depay netted from the penalty spot.
It left Juventus needing to score three goals and they came close with Ronaldo scoring twice either side of half-time.
But the Italian side fell short on away goals with Lyon progressing to the quarter-finals to face Manchester City.

Having dominated Serie A for the past nine years, Juventus' main goal has been to win the Champions League.
Their last triumph came back in 1996 but the acquisition of Ronaldo back in 2018 was seen as a big drive to clinch the Champions League title.
Their latest setback though has led to Sarri being relieved of his duties as manager after just one year in charge.
A number of replacements have already been touted, with Mauricio Pochettino reportedly being contacted.

But Sarri's exit could come as bad news to Chelsea in regards to their summer transfer plans.
The 61-year-old had been the driving force behind Juventus' interest in signing Jorginho.
Chelsea had been willing to take a hit on the £50m fee they paid for the midfielder back in 2018 - when Sarri was in charge at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues are keen to raise funds for other transfer targets and Jorginho's potential sale to Juventus would have boosted their budget.
However, Juventus' interest now comes into question following Sarri's exit.
The Italian coach has worked with Jorginho at Napoli as well as Chelsea and has a strong working relationship with the 28-year-old.
Chelsea's next transfer target appears to be Kai Havertz in a deal which could take their summer spending to £180m.
They also have plans to find a possible replacement for Kepa Arrizabalaga as well as a new left back.
