Man Utd have five players helping Ed Woodward on Jadon Sancho and Kingsley Coman deals
Manchester United chief Ed Woodward is working on Jadon Sancho and Kingsley Coman transfers - but both may not necessarily arrive.
Man Utd ‘most serious contender’ for Sancho signing says expert
Manchester United chief Ed Woodward is currently planning ahead with the summer transfer window creeping closer. And Jadon Sancho and Kingsley Coman are both in his sights. Behind the scenes, meanwhile, five players are helping the Red Devils when it comes to signing both players. Express Sport will now look at how Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s current squad is playing a role in shaping his future one.
Jadon Sancho: Marcus Rashford, Harry Maguire and Jesse Lingard
Obviously, Jadon Sancho is a talented footballer.
Manchester United know that, with the Borussia Dortmund star flourishing by scoring 17 goals and registering 17 assists from 34 Bundesliga matches this season.
But they don’t just want top players at Old Trafford. Perhaps more importantly, they want players who are happy to be there.
Things have changed. United once signed Angel Di Maria despite knowing he had actually hoped to move to Paris Saint-Germain, who he joined a year later.
But, after undergoing thorough background checks, United have come to the conclusion that Sancho has to be their priority target of this summer’s transfer window.

And some help from Marcus Rashford, Harry Maguire and Jesse Lingard has been factored into their decision.
Rashford has openly endorsed a move for Sancho to Woodward, letting him know that the Dortmund star would be the right fit for Solskjaer’s side.
Maguire and Lingard, meanwhile, have supposedly helped sway the Dortmund star by talking up a move to Old Trafford while on England duty.
Solskjaer trusts his players and their words about Sancho behind the scenes is part of the reason why the Norwegian wants the forward signed.
Whether United can do that, with Dortmund demanding over £100million to let their prized asset go, is something only time will tell.

Kingsley Coman: Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial
While Sancho is certainly United’s priority target, they’re also interested in snapping up Coman from Bayern Munich.
And, somewhat inadvertently, Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial have helped make the Red Devils appealing to the 24-year-old forward.
Coman is keen on the prospect of moving to Old Trafford to play alongside his compatriots at the Theatre of Dreams.
And while Sancho is United’s priority target, they could swoop for the Bayern star as well.

Solskjaer has seen his fringe players struggle since the restart - and Daniel James in particular.
Coman would represent an upgrade on the Wales international having scored seven goals and registered seven assists in the Bundesliga this season.
And, with some within the club feeling James would be better on the opposite flank, the prospect of both him and Sancho moving can’t be ruled out.
Bayern may let him go now they’ve got Leroy Sane, who moved from Manchester City earlier in the month.
