Clarke misses chances
Crystal Palace 0 ... Sheffield Wed 0
LEON Clarke blew a hat-trick of second-half chances as Sheffield Wednesday had to settle for a point at Selhurst Park.
Palace, having scored just two goals in four home games, had the better of the first half but missed a series of chances in the opening 12 minutes.
Paddy McCarthy, Darren Ambrose, Victor Moses and Alan Lee were all guilty of spurning good goalscoring opportunities.
Wednesday gained a measure of control and were stronger after the break but Clarke was unable to find the finish needed to nudge Brian Laws’ side ahead.
