Kai Havertz ‘should be in the Premier League’ says pundit
Chelsea target Kai Havertz will be allowed to leave Bayer Leverkusen if a suitable offer is lodged for his services. That is according to the Bundesliga club's managing director Rudi Voller, who would be surprised if the Germany international opts to leave before their Europa League campaign restarts.
Havertz is attracting plenty of interest ahead of the summer transfer window. Chelsea are hot on his trail while Manchester United and Real Madrid also hold an interest.
If he does move, the 21-year-old attacking midfielder is likely to be one of the most expensive signings in what is expected to be a muted summer of activity.
Leverkusen are thought to be demanding up to £90million for his services - but will not stand in his way if their valuation is met.
When asked about Havertz's future by BILD, Voller said: "There is nothing specific, nothing to report. Attention, fashion phrase!

Leverkusen still have Europa League commitments to fulfil, and Voller hopes Havertz will stick around until the season's conclusion.
"Maybe I'm too old-fashioned or romantic: But for me it is a matter of course that a player ends the season!" No matter when it ends," he said.
"There is no discussion at all for me to consider: 'Could I possibly hurt myself - or take a little vacation'. Then some should have withdrawn two months ago.
"Regardless of whether it's Europa League or Champions League, if it is wanted by the player, the receiving and releasing club: I couldn't understand if a player didn't want to."

Voller added: "Of course you can't force anyone. Havertz knows what he owes to his colleagues, the fans and the club."
Chelsea have also signed playmaker Hakim Ziyech - and Lampard has refused to rule out further attacking additions.
"I’m not completely sure what we’re going to look at in the front line. I’m not sure," he said.
"I certainly don’t want to talk about those things because at the moment we are working towards trying to finish off this season and trying to be better in front of goal in the next five or six games or whatever we’ve got with the FA Cup included."
