Liverpool fans react to Pulisic’s opener against Man City
Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic gave Frank Lampard some extra food for thought regarding his team selection after putting in a brilliant performance in the Blues' 2-1 win over Manchester City on Thursday night. That's the opinion of former Chelsea player Craig Burley, who said Pulisic has made a case to play next season despite the arrivals of Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech.
Pulisic had a brilliant game on his first league start since New Year's Day.
The American winger scored his second goal in four days, after bagging against Aston Villa on Sunday.
The youngster wasted no time against City, after pouncing on a rare defensive mistake from Benjamin Mendy before slotting past Ederson.
He almost had a second with 20 minutes to play after rounding Ederson and slotting into an empty net, only for Kyle Walker to slide in and clear off the line.

Pulisic's debut season at Chelsea has been severely hampered by injuries, but he has still managed an impressive return of seven goals and two assists in 18 Premier League outings.
With Werner and Ziyech both joining the club this summer, however, question marks have been raised over whether he will be able to hold down a starting spot.
The £57million man has been tipped to be one of the players who could make way for one of the newcomers, but Burley thinks he gave Lampard a reason to give him game time on Thursday.
Speaking on ESPN FC, the former Blues player heaped praise on the youngster, and said Lampard will have a selection headache next year.
