Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold couldn't help but let off a smile when Geoff Shreeves told him that Pep Guardiola is planning to rest his Manchester City stars at Chelsea. City can hand Liverpool their first-ever Premier League title tomorrow night, should they fail to beat the Blues.
Guardiola has admitted that he already has one eye on the FA Cup quarter-final with Newcastle as he looks to finish the season with silverware.
City have virtually secured second place while Liverpool are 23 points clear at the top.
"We can't deny that we have one eye on Newcastle," Guardiola said.
"Chelsea and Liverpool are prestigious but Newcastle is our game. A final. We have one eye.

"It depends on physical condition, the minutes they have played.
"We take a look a little bit at what is going to happen, not just Chelsea."
Alexander-Arnold said the decision on City's line-up rests with Guardiola but he couldn't help but grin at the prospect of Liverpool wrapping up the title.
"It's up to him really, he's the manager," Alexander-Arnold told Sky Sports.

"We've got to focus on ourselves and not take things for granted.
"For us we're not really thinking or hoping that Manchester City drop points, we're focused on ourselves.
"We know it's in our hands and we've still got to go to City next week and try and get a result.
"We've still got to keep pushing ourselves and hopefully we can set a few records along the way."

The young full-back looks like one of Liverpool's most senior players despite being just 21 years old.
He opened the scoring for the Reds with sumptuous free-kick as the European champions brushed Crystal Palace aside 4-0.
After months of dismissing talk of the title, Alexander-Arnold finally admitted that Liverpool were in touching distance.
"It's two points, so I'd say yeah [it does feel close]," he added. "Obviously we know a lot can happen in the Premier League, we've waited a long time for this and as a squad and as a club it's what we've always dreamed of.
"We're very close now and hopefully we'll get across the line soon."
