Steven Gerrard is hoping to rely on his close affiliation to Liverpool once again in the summer transfer window as the Rangers boss eyes a loan move for Rhian Brewster. Gerrard has made wholesale changes at Rangers since taking charge at Ibrox back in 2018.
The Liverpool icon left his role as a manager of the Under-19s at Anfield two years ago to take his first step into full-time management.
And it soon became clear that Jurgen Klopp was willing to listen to Gerrard in the transfer market in regards to loan deals for Liverpool's young players.
Both Ryan Kent and Ovie Ejaria signed on loan in Gerrard's first summer with the former signing a permanent deal a year later.
Sheyi Ojo was also signed on loan last season and it appears as though Gerrard is ready to return to his former club once again this summer.

According to The Scottish Sun, Rangers are keen to sign Brewster on a season-long loan deal.
The 20-year-old is highly rated on Merseyside by Klopp and the youth coaching staff with the hope that he can make the step up to the first team in the future.
It was only last summer when Brewster fully recovered from a long injury lay-off and he eventually worked his way into a handful of first team appearances for Liverpool in the FA Cup and EFL Cup.

But there was not enough opportunities for Brewster to make his first Premier League appearance and he was eventually sent out on a short-term loan to Swansea in January.
He had impressed before the enforced suspension of English football due to the coronavirus outbreak having scored four goals in 11 Championship appearances and Steve Cooper is reportedly keen on keeping the young English forward for another year.
However, they will face competition from Rangers and the Scottish side will be hoping Brewster's personal history with Gerrard will be to their benefit.
The striker played under Gerrard during his time in charge as a youth coach at Anfield and the latter has spoken highly of Brewster in the past.
But he would have tough competition to break into Rangers' starting line-up should they retain the services of Alfredo Morelos beyond this summer.
The 23-year-old has been strongly linked with a move away from Ibrox this summer with a number of clubs touted as possible destinations.
Jermain Defoe will be a key member of Gerrard's squad as well after he agreed to sign a pre-contract deal to join Rangers on a permanent basis back in January.
Rangers have already been busy making Ianis Hagi's loan move permanent while also signing Calvin Bassey from Leicester on a four-year deal.
