FA Cup reveal provisional quarter-final schedule as Premier League set return date
The FA Cup is set to return after the Football Association agreed a provisional restart date.
Premier League clubs vote to resume contact training
The FA Cup will provisionally restart on June 27 and 28, when the competition's quarter-finals are due to take place. That's after the Football Association pencilled in a provisional return date which is still subject to potential change.
It was confirmed on Thursday that the Premier League would be back on June 17, with close contact training given the green-light to resume.
Now the FA have followed suit and quickly moved to ensure the world's oldest national football competition will also be completed.
The semi-finals will take place across the weekend commencing July 11.
Three weeks later the season will officially be concluded, with the FA Cup final scheduled for August 1.
It will be the last fixture scheduled in the 2019/20 English domestic campaign.
The Champions League and Europa League could still run on into August given the unique nature of this season's climax.
As a small consolation, all 92 Premier League games will be shown live on television.
For the first time in history, the BBC will join Sky Sports, BT Sport and Amazon Prime in broadcasting the action.
Sky Sports will air the majority of matches, showing 64 games, 25 of which will be free to air and that includes Liverpool's clash with Everton at Goodison Park in which the Reds can potentially be crowned champions.
