Willian contract talks with Chelsea dead in the water in boost to Spurs and Arsenal
Willian is unlikely to sign a new deal with Chelsea and is expected to move across London to join either Tottenham or Arsenal this summer.
Willian is ‘on his way to Tottenham’ claims pundit
Willian is set to depart Chelsea when his contract expires in the summer with talks between the Brazilian and the Blues over a new deal reportedly dead in the water. The winger now looks most likely to join Arsenal or Tottenham in a high-profile switch across London.
Willian is out of contract at the end of June and has been unable to agree new terms with Chelsea to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge.
The 31-year-old has spoken of his desire to remain at the club but is demanding a three-year contract – something Chelsea are unable to match.
The Blues have put a two-year offer on the table, which is unusual considering their previous policy of only offering one-year extensions to players over the age of 30.
However, Willian is also thought to want a pay rise which has put a spanner in the negotiations.

And now Football London report that talks between player and club are dead in the water, for now.
It is claimed that if no deal is agreed in the next few months, there is no reason why Willian would not move to a London rival with his family settled in the capital.
Arsenal are linked with the Brazilian while Tottenham are supposedly leading the race due to the player’s relationship with former manager Jose Mourinho.
Willian recently revealed he is still on good terms with the former Chelsea manager, but the player’s entourage have supposedly denied reports that contact with Spurs has been made.

ESPN Brasil journalist Joao Castelo Branco revealed on Twitter that Willian’s advisors rubbished the claims of a move to Tottenham, while the reporter himself believes a move to Arsenal is more likely.
Meanwhile, former Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson thinks Willian would be welcomed instantly at Spurs – if a transfer does eventually come to fruition.
“Willian will not come cheap wages wise,” Robinson told Football Insider.
“A player that has a great relationship with Mourinho. If the player wants to stay in London and Tottenham was an option for him, you would imagine that would be his first choice.

Tudo completamente negado por Willian.
Eu ainda acho que acaba no Arsenal.
“Loyalties towards Chelsea would have to be put to one side.
“I do not think it would take long for him to win over the Spurs fans.
“A lot of Spurs fans would take him with open arms because he is a top-class player.”
Willian himself recently insisted that he is happy to leave Chelsea for a rival, although he emphasised his love for the Stamford Bridge club.
“It really is a hard decision. I identified myself a lot at Chelsea, I have a lot of love for everyone at the club, and the fans,” he said.
