Jeremie is just the job
GARETH SOUTHGATE believes Jeremie Aliadiere may catapult Middlesbrough back into the top flight this season following three goals in his last two games.
Aliadiere scored in the 3-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday at Hillsborough and Boro boss Southgate is delighted with the way the Frenchman has reacted to being dropped last Saturday.
Southgate said: “He didn’t take it very well when he was told he was going on the bench against Ipswich but I told him it is a very long season. He was just lacking confidence, and that has changed. Now he looks a hungry player. That’s what I need. I know it is a long season and players will come and go but Jeremie has got it in him to be a really crucial player for us in this campaign.”
