Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is prepared to end the January transfer window without making any new signings for his first team. The Blues have only shaken hands on one deal this window, bringing in youth striker Bryan Fiabema.

“I think I should be because that’s where we’re at at the moment,” he said when asked if he was prepared to go through the window with no incomings. “If it feels right for us then we’ll do it.
“I think the idea of January being a time to buy players, it’s difficult for everybody: for players coming in – especially if they’re coming from a different league – for the club and for the settlement of the group.
