Amazon Prime football: Who is commentating on Amazon Prime? Tyldesley, Mowbray feature
Amazon Prime football continues this evening but who is commentating on the Premier League coverage?
Amazon Prime is showing Premier League fixtures live for the first time this season. The streaming service has been showing its first batch of games this week, with fans being treated to some classic encounters. Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham were beaten by former club Manchester United at Old Trafford, while Liverpool thumped Everton in the Merseyside derby to crank up the pressure on Toffees boss Marco Silva.
Amazon will also be screening the Boxing Day round of fixtures on December 26 and 27.
Prior to the launch of their Premier League coverage, Amazon Prime released an extensive list of hosts, pundits and commentators.
A statement read: “With over 40 on-screen names set to front the match coverage on Prime Video this Boxing Day alone, the announcement reveals the names that will take on the roles of main studio hosts, stadium match hosts, commentators, co-commentators and pundits across the two fixture rounds.
“Prime Video’s hosts for Premier League coverage in December will include Gabby Logan, Eilidh Barbour and Jim Rosenthal.
“Amongst those joining them as pundits across the early December mid-week games and Boxing Day matches will be Thierry Henry, Alan Shearer, Peter Crouch, Roberto Martinez, Lee Dixon, Harry Redknapp, Jermaine Jenas, Alex Scott, Peter Schmeichel and Michael Owen.
“Commentary across all 20 live and exclusive matches will be delivered by a team of renowned experts of the game including Clive Tyldesley, Jon Champion, Connor McNamara, Guy Mowbray and Ian Darke alongside Andy Townsend, Ally McCoist, Glenn Hoddle, Sue Smith and Kevin Kilbane.
“Prime members will also be able to tune in to an exclusive goals show hosted by Steve Bower alongside Dion Dublin, Robbie Savage, Tim Sherwood, Joe Cole and Dermot Gallagher, that will bring Prime members footage from all of the best Premier League action as it happens across the UK.”
A full subscription to Amazon Prime costs £7.99 per month but there is a basic streaming account available for £5.99.
New customers joining Prime can enjoy a 30-day free trial, which can be cancelled at any point.
Premier League games can be streamed via the Prime Video app on Smart TVs, mobile devices, Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV Stick, Fire tablets, games consoles, on Virgin’s V6 TV Box, the Talk Talk TV set top box, Apple TV, Chromecast, BT TV or online.
