Wan-Bissaka is ‘best defender’ at Man United says pundit
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would have known about Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s faults when he signed the right-back, according to Rio Ferdinand.
United lost 1-0 to Bournemouth on Saturday after Joshua King’s first-half goal.
But it was Wan-Bissaka who let King slip past him to volley past David de Gea.
Wan-Bissaka was signed in the summer for £50million from Crystal Palace and has put in some promising performances.
But United’s overall form defensively this season has been poor.
Solskjaer’s side slumped to a fourth defeat in the league with their loss down on the south coast to Bournemouth.
And although Ferdinand defended Wan-Bissaka, he believes Solskjaer signed him aware of the faults that he had.
“We could sit here and dissect Aaron Wan Bissaka's game and there is some great stuff about his game,” Ferdinand said.

“The recovery tackles he is making, he is making more tackles than anyone in the league, and when he is in a foot race I would back him against anybody.
“But there are elements of his game he has to learn such as patience, timing and positioning at times, but that will come and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer bought him knowing all that.
“This isn't the time to sit here and criticise him. That is just one instance in the game that he got it wrong.
