Man Utd: Liverpool game chance to make history says Solskjaer
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed that David de Gea will not play against Liverpool on Sunday at Old Trafford.
De Gea suffered a groin injury during Spain's Euro 2020 qualifying draw against Sweden on Tuesday and Solskjaer feared he would spend a long time in the sidelines until at least the next international break.
However, the situation is not “as bad as feared” and even though the star goalkeeper won’t start between the sticks against Liverpool the Norwegian boss expects him to be back in action before November 11.
Solskjaer said: “Don’t expect him to play but wasn’t as bad as feared, when I saw the game I thought that’s him out until next international break but it’s not as bad as feared.”

De Gea has cut a prolific figure at Old Trafford ever since his arrival from Atletico Madrid in 2011.
The Spain international has since made 371 appearances for United and has also amassed 131 clean sheets.
The 28-year-old is now set to extend his legacy with the Red Devils as he signed a new contract to stay at the club until 2023.
De Gea said: “Now my future is fixed, all I want is to help this team achieve what I believe we can and win trophies again, together.
"It has been a privilege to spend eight years at this great club.
"The opportunity to continue my career at Manchester United is a genuine honour.
"Since I arrived here, I could never have imagined I would play over 350 games for this club.

"I still feel I have so much more to achieve at the club and I truly believe that Manchester United can build on the club's tradition of success and reward our fans for their support.
"I am committed to continue repaying the fans for all of the care that they've shown me during the good times and the bad."
De Gea is set to miss his first Premier League match of the season during the weekend.
