Graeme Souness reveals Aaron Wan-Bissaka doubt at Man Utd - 'The only question mark'
AARON WAN-BISSAKA needs to prove he can cope with the pressure of playing for a club the size of Manchester United.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka joins Manchester United for training
That is the opinion of Liverpool legend and Sky Sports pundit Graeme Souness.
Wan-Bissaka joined Manchester United from Crystal Palace in the summer for £50million.
The right-back had just the one full season in the Premier League behind him before making the switch.
The England Under-21 international made his United debut in Sunday’s visit of Chelsea in the Premier League.
Can he deal now with playing at one of the really big clubs in world football?
Before the game Souness was discussing Wan-Bissaka and admitted he was a fan of him.
However, he says he has to turn it up an extra notch having joined a club like United.
“That’s the only question mark against this boy,” Souness said.
“Can he deal now with playing at one of the really big clubs in world football?
“We know he can deal with the Premier League, he’s done that at Palace and excelled at that.
“But coming into a big football club, with all due respect to Palace, he’s coming into a completely different environment.
“Everything he does will be watched and scrutinised.
“There’s no picking and choosing, I’m not suggesting he’s done this in the past, picking and choosing when you’re bang at it.
“If you play for a big football club, every time you go out you’re under pressure to perform. That’s the only question mark.
“We see that he can play in the Premier League against the big teams, playing against them.
“But it’s a different, different ball game when you come to United, or Liverpool, or Man City these days, maybe Chelsea, maybe Arsenal.
“You have to turn up every week.
“That’s the only question mark because he has the quality.”
