Liverpool legend John Aldridge reveals one exciting Premier League star Klopp should sign
LIVERPOOL hero John Aldridge has urged his old side to sign Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha.
Zaha is keen to leave Palace this summer in order to fulfil his dream of playing Champions League football.
Palace want to retain the Ivory Coast international’s services and it’s understood they plan on rejecting any offers they receive for the winger.
Arsenal and Tottenham are keen on signing the 26-year-old, who was one of the south London club’s star performers last season.
Aldridge is a fan of Zaha and believes Reds chief Jurgen Klopp should pursue a deal for the former Manchester United man.
"Wilfried Zaha is the one I think he should go for," he wrote in his Sunday World column.
"With Daniel Sturridge leaving the club and his huge wages coming off the weekly bill, it opens up the opportunity for Klopp to sign an out-and-out goalscorer who could offer something different if one of the front three is injured or out of form.
"Zaha has given Liverpool some real problems in the last couple of years and Klopp's ability to turn talents of his type into consistent performers has to make him the kind of player who could thrive at Anfield."
Zaha may have ambitions of playing Champions League football, but he recently hinted he could spend one more season at Selhurst Park.

“I’m proud to be from here and I’m glad that I’m still here because it’s like, I’ve reached my dream,” he told Carling.
“Obviously, there’s so much I want to do in football, but I’ve managed to become a professional footballer and I’m still in the area where I made it.
“I’m still around my people, still around my friends, so I feel like you can do it too, you know what I mean?
“That’s why I’m proud to be from here.”
Zaha then revealed that a health scare for his father is another reason why he might remain at Palace.
"My dad had a stroke," he said. "He lived away from me, but as soon as he had a stroke it was an eye opener that I need to keep him close. He's not as young as he was before.
"Now, on a Friday before games, he tends to pray with me, before the games.
“If I wasn't home, I wouldn't be able to do that, so it makes a massive difference."
