AC Milan ready to offer swap deal for unsettled Arsenal star after boardroom shake up
AC MILAN reportedly dream of signing Arsenal star Lucas Torreira and could even off Franck Kessie in a swap deal.
Arsenal: Torreira 'isn't a key player for Emery' says pundit
Torreira’s Arsenal future appears in doubt after the Uruguayan suggested he is unhappy with life in England.
“I don’t know if there are many things that I enjoy (in England),” he said.
“I think it was better in Italy. England is a totally different world, a very large country.
“The language [barrier] has stopped me, to be able to relate with my team-mates and with the people. It is very difficult when you can’t have dialogue.”
Torreira has been linked with a move to AC Milan with the Serie A giants currently adjusting their boardroom.
But TuttoSport claim that transfer dealings will continue during the reshuffle.
And it’s reported that Torreira is a dream signing with Kessie potentially being offered for the Uruguayan.
Kessie made 34 appearances for AC Milan this season, scoring eight times and also laying on three assists.
It may be a deal that could tempt Arsenal boss Unai Emery, who is expected to be on a tight financial budget.
The Spaniard can free up more funds by selling his players, though a swap deal would also prove beneficial.
Arsenal finished fifth in the Premier League before losing the Europa League final to Chelsea.
But Emery knows he needs to spend if he wants to better that next season.
He recently said: ”I think we can improve first, by spending money to achieve players.
“In the past the club have done great work in watching players, finding and signing young players and developing our players in the academy.
"I have big respect for our work, for our players in the academy.
“I want to develop the players here—giving them progress to achieve something at a big club like we are.
“We can also achieve [buy] some players who are in other teams, who can come here and give us this performance—like [Virgil] Van Dijk with Liverpool."
