Arsenal endured a frustrating first campaign under new manager Emery, finishing fifth in the Premier League and getting thumped by Chelsea in the Europa League final.
The 4-1 defeat in Baku means the Gunners will miss out on Champions League football next season, seriously impacting their transfer kitty this summer.
Emery will have just £40million to spend on reinforcements while several players have been allowed to leave for free, leaving Arsenal short of options throughout the squad.
Plenty of potential new arrivals have been touted already this summer, including Dennis Praet, Christopher Nkunku and Thomas Meunier, but who is most likely to sign according to Football Whispers?

Departures
Aaron Ramsey is the biggest departure from the Emirates so far, with the Welshman joining Juventus after running down his contract with the Gunners.
Danny Welbeck, Stephan Lichtsteiner, Julio Pleguezuelo, Charlie Gilmour and Cohen Bramall have also been released while Petr Cech has retired.
2. Mohamed Elneny (Bordeaux) – 3.9
Elneny’s career at Arsenal never really took off and the Egyptian has been restricted to Europe League appearances in recent seasons, with Bordeaux now ready to offer the midfielder an escape route.

Inter Milan are monitoring the Swiss international with Antonio Conte looking to bolster his new side with Premier League talent.

6. Christopher Nkunku (Paris Saint-Germain) – 3.1
The 21-year-old has reportedly rejected a new deal at PSG and would cost the Gunners around £17.2million.
5. Joachim Andersen (Sampdoria) – 3.2
The centre-back is part of a double swoop the Gunners are lining up which also involves Praet, with the pair set to cost a combined £42m.
4. Kostas Manolas (Roma) – 3.2
Defensive reinforcements are a priority for Emery and the Greek international are supposedly willing to break the bank in order to snap up the Roma ace.

3. Suso (AC Milan) – 3.4
The former Liverpool winger has a £33m release clause and would solve the Gunners’ wide problems, particularly if they do not move for Nicolas Pepe.

Seen as a replacement for Mesut Ozil and looks all-but certain to join.

Emery is said to be in contact with Meunier and Arsenal are believed to have made a bid of more than £20m for the Belgian defender.
