ARSENAL supporters have been sent a message by former Gunner Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after his Champions League triumph with Liverpool.
Champions League: Oxlade-Chamberlain celebrates title win
Arsenal sold Oxlade-Chamberlain to Liverpool for a £35million fee back in 2017 after he made 198 appearances for the club.
The England-international was an unused substitute on the night, but still achieved his dream of taking home a Champions League medal.
After the fixture Oxlade-Chamberlain spoke to his former Arsenal team-mate Per Mertesacker, and sent a message to Gunners fans.
He told DAZN: “As former Gooners, we know what that one meant to all the Arsenal fans out there.

“It was massive for us at Liverpool, but ‘once a Gooner always a Gooner’ that’s what they say.”
Oxlade-Chamberlain joined Arsenal for a fee of around £12m from Southampton back in 2011.
He went on to score 20 goals in his seven years at the club, winning three FA Cup trophies along the way.
He continued: “I had a personal sort of feeling in that game that we needed to get that done for all the people I left at Arsenal.
“I know they were all willing us on to win that one so I’m happy that we could do it.”
In terms of silverware at Arsenal, pundit Pat Nevin claims that their Europa League final defeat to Chelsea on Wednesday could delay their progress for as long as two years.
“It could be a dangerous thing. This game was massive for a number of reasons,” Nevin told BBC Radio 5 Live Sport.
“If they’d have won they’ve have got into the Champions League and think of the money you get from being in that next season.
Champions League: Klopp and the team celebrate following win
“Think of the extra kudos of being able to bring in other players who won’t come in for a Europa League season.
“You had a 90 minutes that was massively important that might affect the team for 12 months, maybe 18 to 24 months going forward. That’s hard to deal with, hard to take.
“You know that Manchester City are going to strengthen, that Tottenham are going to strengthen, Liverpool will probably strengthen a bit as well.
“They must’ve thought [when they first missed out on the Champions League], ‘Well this is a team that a little blip and we’ll be back.’ But it’s beginning to look more than a little blip.”
