Liverpool fans BRUTALLY troll Jermaine Jenas after Spurs concede in Champions League final
LIVERPOOL fans have brutally trolled Jermaine Jenas after the Reds took an early lead over Tottenham in the Champions League final.
Mohamed Salah netted an easy penalty in the Wanda Metropolitano.
That was after Moussa Sissoko was adjudged to have handled a cross by Sadio Mane.
After a VAR check the penalty was confirmed with Salah rocketing the ball past a helpless Hugo Lloris in the Spurs goal.
And fans immediately took to Twitter to stick the boot in on Jenas.
One said: “I love hearing the pain in jenas' voice.”
Another explained: “The way Jenas uses the players’ first names like they’re his best mates is grating already.”
“Jermaine jenas crying on bt sport,” a third said.
A fourth explained: “Think I heard Jermaine jenas's heart break.”
Champions League: Liverpool fans sing You'll Never Walk Alone
Robbie Savage was not convinced in Liverpool’s first half performance though.
He explained: “I’m not sure Liverpool are playing that well.
“Spurs have come into the game since the early penalty.
“I do think it is a penalty. The way VAR is being used in the Champions League, that is a penalty.”
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino opted to start with Harry Kane.
That meant semi-final hat-trick hero Lucas Moura was left on the bench.
Roberto Firmino was also given the nod by Jurgen Klopp after missing a number of matches through injury.
