Man Utd fans LOVE what David Beckham has posted before Liverpool's Champions League final
MANCHESTER UNITED icon David Beckham has boosted his reputation amongst supporters before next weekend’s Champions League final between Liverpool and Tottenham.
Tottenham players train ahead of Champions League final
The former England captain was in London visiting Spurs’ training ground and was impressed with what he saw.
Not only that, he was clearly a fan of Maurcio Pochettino too as he took to Instagram to thank the Argentine boss.
Accompanied with a selfie of the pair, he said: “Great to spend the morning with Mauricio today... Thank you for welcoming me and showing me around the amazing training complex ... What a gentleman ... @spursofficial”
Tottenham are continuing preparations for their first ever Champions League final when they head to Madrid to take on Liverpool at the Wanda Metropolitano.
Manchester United supporters took to Twitter to praise Beckham, who will clearly be supporting Spurs next Saturday given his former club’s rivalry with the Reds.
“A true Manchester United player or former player or fans will never support Liverpool for anything,” one fan tweeted.
Another put with some laughing emojis: “He has to be my favourite Legend right now.”
A third wrote: “Who doesn't hate Liverpool?”
While another said: “The only reason Beckham was there too tell you bottle jobs that don’t let Liverpool win the UCL.”
Beckham spent four years with Tottenham during his youth career and there are also supporters in his family meaning there was more substance to the visit than most might think.
It’s not the first occasion that the 44-year-old has spent time with Liverpool’s Champions League final opponents though.
Last season he joined his former Real Madrid team-mate Zinedine Zidane prior to their triumph in Kiev.
