Chelsea make Eden Hazard transfer decision: Blues fear revealed over Real Madrid switch
CHELSEA look set to lose Eden Hazard this summer and the Blues will not force the forward to see out the final year of his contract.
The Belgian has been linked with a switch to Real Madrid.
But Chelsea are holding out for an £87million transfer fee from Los Blancos in order to allow Hazard to leave.
The Blues have no interest in letting the 28-year-old leave on a free next summer though.
That’s because the business model at Chelsea relies on selling players and it would mean Financial Fair Play implications for the club, according to the Daily Mail.
Maurizio Sarri’s side are already facing a summer without the prospect of signing new players.
Their two-window ban was upheld by FIFA, although Chelsea are expected to appeal once again.
Chelsea have bought Jorginho for £56m, Kepa Arrizabalaga for £74m and Christian Pulisic for £57m in the last year.
They also paid a hefty loan fee for Gonzalo Higuain in January.

And that means the Blues need to sell Hazard to balance the books at Stamford Bridge.
Hazard has been in stunning form again this season for Chelsea, netting 19 goals and providing 16 assists in all competitions.
Chelsea could also face having to find a new manager this summer.
Despite finishing third and making the Europa League final against Arsenal, fans have not taken to former Napoli boss Sarri.
And the Italian is now being linked with Juventus following the announcement that Massimiliano Allegri will leave the Serie A champions.
Chelsea would reportedly not stand in the way of Sarri if he was offered the job.
The Blues take on Arsenal in the Europa League final next Wednesday in Baku, Azerbaijan.
