Copa del Rey final 2019: When is Barcelona vs Valencia? Date, kick-off time, how to watch
THE Copa del Rey final is fast approaching but when is Barcelona vs Valencia? Express Sport brings you all the details including date, kick-off time and how to watch the action.
Barcelona: Lionel Messi wears camera in POV training session
Ernesto Valverde hopes Barcelona's 2-2 draw at Eibar will serve as a wake-up call ahead of the Copa del Rey final this weekend.
Lionel Messi scored a quick-fire brace after Marc Cucurella's opener, but the La Liga champions were pegged back in the last game of the season by Pablo De Blasis' equaliser.
Barca now face Valencia in the Copa del Rey final where they will be looking to seal a fifth straight success.
"All the matches serve (as tests), but Saturday's match will be different because the teams are different and because this was marked by the fact that Eibar didn't play for anything," Valverde said.
"We tried to gauge the intensity of the game and we were good in the first half, but in the second half we couldn't overcome the pressure and we had fewer chances and we made dangerous mistakes.
"We are ready for the final and the game served us well because we were put in our place."
Barcelona confirmed right-back Nelson Semedo had been taken to hospital for routine tests after sustaining a head injury in the draw with Eibar.
On his squad's other injuries, Valverde said: "We think that (Marc-Andre) Ter Stegen will be fine for the final and, while I don't know about (Philippe) Coutinho, it will be difficult for (Ousmane) Dembele to play. I don't know about Arthur."
Valencia, meanwhile, secured Champions League football for the second year running by winning 2-0 at Real Valladolid yesterday, clinching fourth place in La Liga at the expense of Getafe.
Marcelino's side will now have an extra spring in their step when they face Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final where they will be looking to add shine to an impressive end to what has been a turbulent campaign.
Valencia were languishing in 12th position in the standings in December and there were repeated calls from supporters for Marcelino to be sacked.
"It has been a very difficult year with a lot of demanding games," said Valencia captain Dani Parejo.
"We didn't make the best start but by working hard we've managed to turn things around. We've achieved our first objective and now we have another final on Saturday."
Express Sport has rounded up all the details ahead of the Copa del Rey showdown.
