THREE Man Utd summer transfer alternatives to Jadon Sancho as Dortmund star drops decision
MANCHESTER UNITED transfer target Jadon Sancho has hinted that he will stay at Borussia Dortmund next season so where else should Ole Gunnar Solskjaer be looking?
Jadon Sancho should NOT join Man United says pundit
Borussia Dortmund look as if they are going to be able to keep hold of the England international for another season at least.
Following Dortmund's final day win over Borussia Monchengladbach, he said: "Next season our target is to win, not come second. I’m really happy with how I played this season.
“I wasn’t playing that much at the start of the season but was in the team more often later on. It’s all about hard work."
Sancho is believed to have been put off a move to Old Trafford by the fact the club currently lack stability after a sixth-place finish.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made an electric start to life as Manchester United boss, winning ten from 11 matches and there is every reason why Sancho may have wanted to become a part of the side in the summer.
But now the United board are going to have to think of their feet to attract top targets, so who else should they be looking at instead?
Nicolas Pepe
Lille boss Christophe Galtier has confirmed that they are expecting to lose the star this summer.
He told Canal+: "Nicolas Pepe will leave. Life's like that, football's like that today.
“He is a player of the highest level who will have a big decision to make on the choice of his next club. There will be a battle between the great European teams.”
With 22 Ligue 1 goals and 11 assists, there are not many wide players with better numbers than Pepe this season.
At just 23-year-old he also fits the bill for Solskjaer in terms of future planning. His best years are still ahead of him.
Wilfried Zaha
The winger has told Crystal Palace he want stop play Champions League football next season meaning he could leave Selhurst Park.
United, who will not be playing in Europe's elite club competition next year, have been left to rue the fact they did not included a buy-back clause in his sale.
Under Sir Alex Ferguson, the club had unprecedented success in the transfer market by buying proven players in the Premier League.
Zaha would surely jump at the chance to return to Old Trafford to set the record straight, given that his first spell was deemed unsuccessful.

Memphis Depay
Jose Mourinho ensured that United included a buy-back clause when they sold Memphis to Lyon.
While he is still not the finished article, it’s undeniable how much the Dutchman has improved since leaving Old Trafford.
He has fired 29 goals in two Ligue 1 seasons and is a player that gets supporters off their seats with his skill-set.
It’s possible he’ll be the player that United turn to this summer.
