Liverpool BRUTALLY trolled by Gary Neville after title loss with EPIC mocked up photo
LIVERPOOL have been BRUTALLY trolled by Gary Neville with a hilarious mocked up photo on Twitter following Manchester City’s fourth Premier League title win.
Liverpool and City have gone toe-to-toe this season for the Premier League with the Reds looking for their first one ever.
But on the final day of the season, City managed to secure their fourth title, winning their second one on the bounce.
Man City beat Brighton 4-1 while Liverpool overcame Wolves 2-0 at Anfield.
The title win means that City are the first to retain the title since Manchester United in 2009.
And eight-time Premier League winner Gary Neville couldn’t help but share a joke with fellow Sky Sports colleague and Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher.
The former United hero tweeted after a picture after the game that depicted a mocked up Liverpool title celebration.
But above the players celebrating, it read “Premier League runners-up 2018/19.
The tweeted prompted lots of response from Liverpool fans who will be licking their lips at the prospect of replying with glee if Liverpool can win the Champions League.
One of the replies came from Jamie Carragher, who took time to tweet his own gag photo.
His picture showed United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the wheel of a car carrying Marcus Rashford, Paul Pogba and David de Gea.
United have endured a dismal season under both Jose Mourinho and Solskjaer.
They were knocked out of all competitions and failed to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
They also dropped points in their final two league games against relegated Huddersfield and Cardiff.
Their game with Cardiff finished 2-0 to Neil Warnock’s side, ahead of what will be an incredibly important transfer window for United.
The season isn’t over for Liverpool, though, who still have Champions League final to play against Tottenham on June 1 in Madrid.
Liverpool will be playing in their second successive European final having lost in last year’s big game 3-1 to Real Madrid.
