Liverpool told the ONE signing that will improve their team by Harry Redknapp
LIVERPOOL only need to improve in one area in this summer’s transfer market, claims Harry Redknapp.
Liverpool head into the final day of the Premier League season second in the table and needing a favour from Brighton to have a chance of winning the title.
The Reds are also in the final of the Champions League, where they face Tottenham in Madrid on June 1.
Redknapp says Liverpool’s defence and attack looks well set for years to come.
But he reckons adding more creativity to the midfield would be a wise move from Jurgen Klopp.
A little bit of creativity in the middle of the park
“Well I think you can improve any team,” Redknapp told Yahoo Sport UK.
“But what I would say is the back four is young, with Gomez to come in as well.
“That is together there, with the goalkeeper, for the next seven, eight years.
“What a great basis for a football club to work from.
“The front three are just amazing.
“Maybe [they need] a little bit of creativity in the middle of the park but everybody can improve somewhere.”
Redknapp also reckons Manchester City can make improvements of their own this summer.
“I think Man City are the same,” he continued.
“I think at the back there is still one or two positions with [Vincent] Kompany getting older now, he’s been an amazing player.
“Maybe the left-back is a position they could still look at.
“The left-back’s done well but maybe they could find someone else who could improve them slightly.
“But you’re never going to get an absolutely perfect team.
“But they’re two outstanding teams.”
