Liverpool ace Andrew Robertson clashes with Barcelona star Lionel Messi in risky moment
LIONEL MESSI appeared to be PUSHED in the back of the head by Liverpool defender Andy Robertson in the Reds’ Champions League clash with Barcelona.
The game has been an electrifying affair with Liverpool a goal up thanks to a tap in from Divock Origi.
Former Liverpool man Luis Suarez taken the role of main antagonist while Reds fans have taken to booing him after his celebration antics last week.
The Uruguayan clashed with Fabinho early on before the Brazilian was booked for hammering Suarez with a crunching tackle.
And later on in the first half, Robertson got into it with Lionel Messi.
As Messi disputed a decision made by the referee in reference to Robertson fouling him, the Argentine was PUSHED in the back of the head by the Scot.
And fans on Twitter are reacting to the incident by saying Roberson should be sent off.
One wrote: “If that was Ramos on Salah, their would be multiple petitions again.."
Another went with: “Andy Robertson being a little tw*t?”
A third wrote: “Should have been sent off.”
One more tweeted: “If that wasn’t a Liverpool player you’d call it disgraceful. The bias over the past week has been nothing short of shocking.”
One joked: “He's already let them know in the camp nou and probably let them know here again.”
Another said: “Would have sent him off. You don't touch Messi.”
And lastly, one simply went with: “What a wally.”
Liverpool are looking to reach their second successive Champions League final.
If they were to reach the final they would come up against either Ajax or Tottenham, who play their second leg tomorrow night.
