Lionel Messi in HEARTWARMING moment with sons moments after securing TENTH La Liga title
LIONEL MESSI celebrated his 10th La Liga title with a heartwarming embrace with his two sons on the Nou Camp pitch.
Lionel Messi’s goal against Levante was enough to hand Barca yet another league title.
The Argentine has been in spectacular form throughout the whole season, scoring 45 goals in all competitions.
And 34 of those goals have been in the league - the most of anyone in all of Europe.
Messi came into the night needing a hat-trick to score a record 600 goals for Barcelona, but the one was all that was needed for league glory.
Messi now has six games left in the season to notch another couple of strikes for the 600 he’ll be craving.
His placed finish vs Levante sent the Nou Camp into raptures as it quickly became aware that the club were on the verge of another league trophy.
As soon as the final whistle blew, the celebrations began.
Messi’s two sons burst onto the pitch to embrace their superstar dad as the 31-year-old looked on in glee.
Messi and co. won’t be finished there, though, for the season.
They’re still inn contention to win a historic treble, something they haven’t done since 2015.
Barca first come up against Liverpool over two legs in the semi-finals of the Champions League final.
Then they face Valencia in the Copa Del Rey final for the chance to complete the treble.
Messi will be hoping to continue his fine form into next season - in order to try and win another Ballon d’Or.
Messi’s rival Cristiano Ronaldo managed to pick up a personal record tonight, scoring his 600th club goal, having played 150-odd games more than his foe.
