Man City team news: Predicted 4-3-3 line up to face Tottenham – Aguero in, Zinchenko doubt
MANCHESTER CITY are expected to make a number of changes for the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Tottenham tonight (8pm).
Pep Guardiola is likely to rotate his squad as Manchester City bid to keep their Champions League hopes alive.
City are still on for the quadruple but have it all to do after losing 1-0 to Spurs in the first leg of their quarter-final at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The defending Premier League champions got back to winning ways against Crystal Palace at the weekend, triumphing 3-1 at Selhurst Park.
Raheem Sterling scored twice while Gabriel Jesus also found the back of the net late on, although the Brazilian is unlikely to dislodge fit-again Sergio Aguero.
Aguero was withdrawn late against Palace as he continues his recovery from a muscle strain but should retain his starting spot.
Leroy Sane could drop to the bench in favour of Bernardo Silva, who returned from injury as a substitute at the weekend.
Meanwhile, Fernandinho will be assessed ahead of kick-off but has returned to training and should come in for Ilkay Gundogan.
John Stones will start in place of Vincent Kompany but Oleksandr Zinchenko remains a doubt after a hamstring problem has ruled him out in recent weeks.
Fabian Delph struggled against Spurs while Benjamin Mendy played last time out but is unlikely to play two matches in a week so Guardiola will hope the Ukrainian left-back is fit.
Speaking ahead of the key Champions League clash, Stones said his side have ‘everything to play for’.
"I don't think a lot of things are impossible; that is the mindset of different people," he said.
"If you don't dream big, then you are not going to get anywhere near it. It comes from within everyone. We have this belief and ambition to do it."
Manchester City predicted line-up vs Tottenham Hotspur – Champions League
