The FIVE Man Utd stars at risk of SUSPENSION for Barcelona second leg
FIVE Manchester United players are at risk of being suspended for the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final clash against Barcelona.
Man Utd vs Barcelona: Champions League match preview
The Red Devils host Lionel Messi and his team-mates at Old Trafford tonight.
But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will hope five players avoid getting booked.
Having said that, some of the stars at risk for Manchester United are unlikely to feature tonight.
Antonio Valencia and Ander Herrera are one booking away from a ban but neither are expected to play in the first leg against the La Liga giants.
Luke Shaw, Ashley Young and Nemanja Matic will be concerns for Solskjaer and he will want all three to avoid getting yellow cards ahead of the second leg at the Nou Camp.
Bookings are wiped out after the quarter-finals.
That means players can only miss the Champions League final if they are sent off at the semi-final stage.
United legends Roy Keane and Paul Scholes famously missed the final in 1999 after they both picked up crucial bookings in the semi-final.
Solskjaer has confirmed Valencia will not play and offered an injury update ahead of the match.
He explained: “We still hope maybe that Nemanja can be ready, Ander is probably out and Eric [Bailly] and Antonio are definitely out.”
United vs Barcelona at Old Trafford takes place at 8pm this evening.
The second leg is at the Nou Camp next Tuesday.
