Man Utd legend Andy Cole tells Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to build his team around ONE player
OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER should build his Manchester United team around Marcus Rashford, claims Andy Cole.
Man United: Marcus Rashford on his journey to first team
Rashford has enjoyed a fine goalscoring run since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer became Manchester United interim boss in December.
The England international has played as the main striker for the majority of the time under the Norwegian.
Rashford has reached double figures for the first time in his fledgling career and reports claim he is set to commit his long-term future to the club.
Former United striker Cole is a big fan of Rashford and has been impressed with his improvement in recent months.
He’s definitely going to be one of the mainstays of the football club
And he reckons the academy graduate can be a central figure in the years to come at Old Trafford.
“What I like about Marcus Rashford, he’s got all the ability in the world,” Cole said on Sky Sports.
“But you could tell under the previous manager his confidence was waining lower, lower and lower.
“Ole’s gone in there and he’s said to him ‘we all know how good you are, just believe in yourself’ and he’s done that.
“When he first got in the team, you knew what he could do.
“He kind of went away from that a little bit, confidence and whatever.
“Now he’s back at what he’s good at.
“I think Marcus came out the other day and said he’s prepared to sign a new contract now, so he’s telling everyone he wants to stay.

“Not for the short haul, for the long haul.
“You’ve got to build your players around the local boys.
“I was fortunate to do just that during my time at Manchester United.
“He’s definitely going to be one of the mainstays of the football club.”
