Rangers: Nikola Katic reacts to draw against Kilmarnock
The Scottish Premiership season is approaching its end with supporters once again enjoying the thrills and spills it has to offer.
Celtic, still targeting an historic treble-treble, are currently top of the pile with 70 points amassed from 30 games to date.
Sunday’s win over relegation-threatened Dundee did no harm to their hopes of making it eight league titles on the bounce.
And it put further pressure on Steven Gerrard, who has admitted he has still got to prove himself as manager of Rangers.
Rangers’ title challenge faltered once again on Saturday as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Kilmarnock at Ibrox.
Conor McAllen struck for Kilmarnock after 29 minutes, with the Gers unable to build on Alfredo Morelos’ equaliser.
Rangers are 10 points adrift of Glasgow rivals Celtic having played the same number of games so far this term.
They were, though, helped on Saturday as third-place Aberdeen only managed to take a point off Livingston.
There are three more rounds of games to go before the Scottish Premiership splits in two for the remainder of the campaign.
Though it is not just at the top of the table where the final standings are to be decided, with the relegation battle very much on.
St Mirren are bottom at present, with Dundee just a point better off and Hamilton in danger of being sucked into the mire.
