MANCHESTER CITY will NOT win the quadruple this season because there will always be “something round the corner” stopping them from doing so, claims Liverpool legend Steve Nicol.

“Absolutely they’ve got a realistic chance,” Nicol told ESPN FC.
“Teams have won the treble, so why not?
“Nobody thought Real Madrid could win three Champions Leagues on the trot, and they’ve done it.”
However, Nicol does not think Manchester City will pull off the incredible feat, giving hope to Liverpool fans that the Reds will finally end their 29-year wait for a top-flight title.

He believes City will be stopped in their tracks in at least one competition.
They nearly slipped up in the FA Cup on Saturday, trailing 2-0 at Swansea before coming back to win 3-2 in the quarter-final clash.
“No [I don’t think City will win the quadruple],” Nicol continued.
“Having been involved in football for so long, you know there’s something round the corner, waiting. There always is.
