Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer suffers MAJOR injury blow: Star goes for scan
MANCHESTER UNITED manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has suffered a big injury problem ahead of the FA Cup quarter-final against Wolves on Saturday.
Romelu Lukaku shows off his multi-million pound home
Romelu Lukaku is out of the match at Molineux with a foot injury.
The striker will also be absent for Belgium in the upcoming international break.
United have sent Lukaku for scans to assess the extent of the injury, according to The Sun.
No return date has been set but the Red Devils are hopeful the 25-year-old will return for the Champions League quarter-final first leg on April 9 or 10.
Manchester United will find out their opponents tomorrow from 11am when the draw takes place.
Lukaku first picked up the problem in the miraculous display against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
The Belgian netted twice as Solskjaer recorded an unlikely win to knock out the French side.
Lukaku had treatment on his right ankle during the match following a firm challenge from Marquinhos.
The striker did play in the defeat to Arsenal at the weekend but the reports claim the injury flared up following the match.
Lukaku adds to the problems with players being out with problems for United.
Alexis Sanchez, Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata are all absent injured for Solskjaer’s side at present.
Anthony Martial did return against Arsenal to give the Norwegian a boost going into the business end of the season.
The former Monaco man has been recalled to the France squad for the Euro 2020 qualifiers against Moldova and Iceland because of his dazzling form under Solskjaer.
United will look to make it to the FA Cup semi-finals even without Lukaku.
That would leave Solskjaer with the possibility of winning two trophies until the end of the season.
