LIVERPOOL forward Roberto Firmino received a classy message from Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho on social media.
Liverpool: Klopp reacts to 4-2 win over Burnley
Firmino netted twice in the 4-2 win over Burnley in the Premier League on Sunday.
And on posting a picture on Instagram after the match of his celebration, Coutinho praised his Brazil team-mate.
The Barca ace: “Joga muito.... Craque.”
That roughly translates to ‘plays very ace’.
Firmino has been in good form this season, netting 13 goals and providing five assists in all competitions.
And the 27-year-old starts tonight against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Liverpool know they must either win at the Allianz Arena or secure a score draw to progress in the competition after the 0-0 result at Anfield two weeks ago.
Barcelona are also in action tonight as they take on Lyon at the Nou Camp.
They drew their first leg 0-0 as well and Coutinho starts alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
The former Liverpool man has been criticised for some of his performances this season but Gerard Pique has defended the midfield maestro.
He said: “Philippe is having a good season, but obviously his price tag was very big.
“This means there are bigger expectations about his performances.
Firmino: Not many players can do what he does says Klopp
“You have to accept the reaction of the supporters because they are our fans, but inside the dressing room, the players give him all the support in the world.”
Both Champions League matches tonight kick off at 8pm.
The winners will go into the hat for the quarter-final draw in the competition which takes place on Friday at 11am.
