Jadon Sancho ‘will go to Manchester United’ - ESPN pundit makes transfer claim
JADON SANCHO will join Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund in the summer.
Man United are 'destined' to sign Jadon Sancho says Nicol
That is the opinion of ESPN FC pundit and former Liverpool defender Steve Nicol.
Sancho has emerged as a transfer target for Manchester United in recent weeks.
The winger has enjoyed a fine first full campaign in the Borussia Dortmund first team.
Sancho, 18, has already won three caps for England and has been named in the squad for the Euro 2020 qualifiers against Czech Republic and Montenegro.
So I say yes, Sancho will go to Manchester United
United are reportedly willing to spend up to £100million for the teenager.
And Nicol believes Dortmund will not stand in Sancho’s way.
“Well everybody would want him,” Nicol said.
“Manchester United have shown that they have the money.
“Dortmund have shown that if the price is right then they will let anyone go.
“So I say yes, Sancho will go to Manchester United.”
The future of United winger Alexis Sanchez is in doubt after a turbulent spell at Old Trafford since arriving from Arsenal in January 2018.
But Nicol cannot see the Chilean leaving yet, claiming no club will want to sign him on his mega wages.
Man Utd can sign Gareth Bale and Jadon Sancho says Ferdinand
“I’m not so sure anybody else is going to really want him or any of the top sides that he believes he should be playing for,” he continued.
“Plus he’s earning upwards of £300,000-a-week, so nothing adds up.
“Who’s going to want him? Who’s going to pay him that money? That’s a no.”
