Man Utd told to make Ole Gunnar Solskjaer decision: Mauricio Pochettino key
MAURICIO POCHETTINO should NOT get the Manchester United job because he won’t have the impact that interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has had on the team.

That’s the view of former United man Andrei Kanchelskis.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over back in December following the sacking of Jose Mourinho.
And since then, he’s won 14 of his 17 games in charge and he’s guided the club to the quarter finals of the Champions League and the FA Cup.
They also sit in fourth place in the Premier League, despite being in sixth, 11 points off the top four, when he took charge of the team.
Mauricio Pochettino, however, had been linked with taking the reins at United come the end of the season, but Solskjaer’s fine form looks to have scuppered any potential plans for the Argentine to be put in charge.
And on Wednesday evening, United enjoyed one of the great European nights, as they beat French champions Paris Saint-Germain 3-1 thanks to a brace from Romelu Lukaku and a Marcus Rashford penalty.
The tie finished 3-3 on aggregate with United going through to the next round on away goals.
And Kanchelskis, who won two Premier Leagues with United as a player, is of the belief that Pochettino now needs to wait a bit longer before he can become Red Devils boss.
“The time isn’t right for Pochettino to be the Manchester United manager,” he told Bwin.
“There’s a certain DNA to Man Utd which managers take time to adjust to, but that’s something they already have with Solskjaer.
“Man Utd need an instant impact which I don’t think Pochettino will bring and they already have under Solskjaer.
“I think Pochettino is one of the world’s best managers and would definitely like to see him in the Man Utd dugout one day, but not yet.
Spurs: Pochettino is ‘frustrated’ in his position claims McGarry
“Man Utd have been crying out for a manager with the passion, flair and style of play the club is famous for ever since Ferguson left.”
Kanchelskis went on to note that he was bemused because of United’s hesitance to hand Solskjaer the job on a full-time basis.
It’s thought that executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is waiting until the end of the season to make a decision.
“They now have that man in the form of Solskjaer and yet they haven’t given him the job. It’s very confusing,” he added.
“They have nothing to lose because they have given out massive contracts to managers that haven’t worked, so why not give it to Solskjaer.”
