Man Utd news: Was this Paul Pogba moment during PSG Champions League clash awkward?
MANCHESTER UNITED star Paul Pogba was spotted sitting with Gary Neville during the club’s Champions League win over PSG on Wednesday night.
Man United: Pogba CRASHES Rashford and Lukaku interview
Manchester United powerhouse Pogba missed the PSG game through suspension having been sent-off in the 2-0 defeat to the same opposition in the first leg.
The France international was not missed by his team-mates, however, who rallied to stun the Parc des Princes into silence.
Manchester United were brilliant on the night, with Romelu Lukaku the star of the show.
The Belgium international struck the first goal of the game after just two minutes, rounding Gianluigi Buffon in the process.
And Lukaku also found the net after Juan Bernat had equalised for PSG.
Marcus Rashford then struck a late winner from the penalty spot to send United’s travelling fans into ecstasy.
Fans, and former and current players.
Pogba led the celebrations, shouting in ecstasy during a video with Patrice Evra.
And Neville, too, could barely hide his delight at the full time whistle.
The duo were also seen spotted sitting together - which may have been a tad awkward given what happened a few months ago.
When Jose Mourinho was sacked, Pogba appeared to aim a jibe at his former manager via a picture of himself saying ‘caption this’.
And Neville was livid, saying: “You can do one as well.”
Pogba insisted it was a scheduled post from Adidas but Neville didn’t buy it, adding: "There is probably a high level of dislike there, but Jose Mourinho lost his job this morning and Paul Pogba and his people put that post out - don't fall for this coincidence scheduled tweet nonsense, it's garbage, absolute garbage.
"I do believe that dancing on the grave of the manager who has just been sacked is out of order.
"Paul Pogba, there is no doubt, has fallen out with the manager.
"He doesn't believe in him, he doesn't like him, he doesn't think he's a good coach probably, and vice-versa.”
Therefore, the sight of the duo sitting together certainly raised eyebrows.
But United appears to be a place of harmony once again and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seems keen on pairing the past with the present.
