How Pochettino reacted to Torreira being sent off in Tottenham vs Arsenal is pure class
LUCAS TORREIRA was sent off for a strong challenge on Danny Rose in the 1-1 draw between Tottenham and Arsenal.
But Spurs manager Maurizio Pochettino refused to get too riled about the incident.
Torreira was red carded with just minutes to go in the battle at Wembley.
Arsenal thought they were on for a win when they received a penalty at the death.
But when that was saved by Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, the hosts went for broke in the hope of snatching a winner themselves.
In the dying seconds Torreira went in for a challenge with Rose and appeared to get the ball as well as the man.
But the Arsenal midfielder was shown a red card by referee Anthony Taylor.
Torreira’s lunge was arguably dangerous - with the player showing all six studs as he went for the ball.
But he was nevertheless upset to be sent off moments before fill time.
The Uruguayan stormed off the field and down the tunnel - but did not head to the dressing room.
Instead, he stayed in the tunnel and was confronted by Tottenham boss Pochettino after full time.
The manager walked towards the tunnel and spotted Torreira at the doors.
But rather than lambast the Arenal man for his challenge, Pochettino simply spoke to the Uruguay international before heading off.
it is not known what the manager said to the player, as Gunners coach Steve Bould watched on.
