Spurs: Madrid will rival Man United for Pochettino warns Burley
Manchester United are toying with the idea of handing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer the full-time job at Old Trafford with Real Madrid now the Argentine’s most likely suitors.
If either club are to make an offer to Mauricio Pochettino, it would have to be a very attractive deal to pry the 46-year-old way from his beloved Tottenham.
Expert Guillem Balague has now given his thoughts on Pochettino’s possible Spurs exit, and has claimed that they would have to offer an extremely lucrative deal to chairman Daniel Levy.
He told The Sport Review: “There is no update. He has got a contract with Spurs.

In a way, that would perhaps change the way that managers are perceived
Guillem Balague on Mauricio Pochettino's possible move
Balague continued: “In a way, that would perhaps change the way that managers are perceived.
“If somebody decides to pay £30m, £40m, £50m for a manager… that could be the start of a new era in a way.
“I think what we are seeing is a manager that is looking at the day-to-day.”
Everton agree a £4million fee with Watford after the ’tapping up’ of Marco Silva last season - but Balague can foresee a future where transfer bids for managers are commonplace.

He continued: “What he [Pochettino] cannot control, it’s better not to get worried about.
“It doesn’t matter if Real Madrid or Manchester United try to come and get him, because as he’s always said, they will have to talk to Levy – it’s not in his hands.
“So that’s where we stand.”
Next up for United is a home clash with Liverpool tomorrow whilst Tottenham face Burnley later today.
