Liverpool Twitter post goes VIRAL as special plan made for TODAY
LIVERPOOL fans have organised to arrive at Anfield especially early for the remaining home games this season, starting with the visit of Bournemouth today.
The Reds have undergone a relatively tricky patch, drawing their last two games 1-1 to mid-table sides Leicester and West Ham.
Those four dropped points have been pounced on by Manchester City, who sit atop the Premier League despite having played one game more.
Jurgen Klopp's men next face Bournemouth today in one of the seven games left at Anfield this season.
The title run-in is set to be the tightest since the 2013/14 season, when it was once again Liverpool and cross-city rivals City vying for the 76cm-tall piece of silverware, separated by two points after 38 games.
Liverpool have never won the Premier League since the old First Division’s reformation in 1992, coming very close three times in the modern era.
The frustration endured by Reds fans in the last 27 years has led to an obsession with the league title and the Anfield faithful have decided it is up to them to play their part in the team’s charge.
A memo has circulated among the Liverpool fanbase on Twitter, outlining how the Kop - and three other stands - will propel the team towards seven home wins, starting with Bournemouth today.
“Everyone going on Saturday, no matter what stand you’re in, get in as early as possible,” it reads.
“There’s lads getting in an hour before kick off to get Anfield back to its best.
“It needs to be as loud as possible for when the players come out to warm up.
“Get the momentum going again and get behind them.
“Pass this about your groups and help us between now and the Wolves game.
“In as early as possible with flags, scarves, rattles, voices, whatever.
“We’ve got a title to win.”
