Caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solksjaer has clearly refuelled Rashford’s confidence, as the star has scored five goals in nine games since he took over from Jose Mourinho.
And speaking after last week’s win over Brighton, Solksjaer explained that he believes he is managing a future England star.
“You can argue for many strikers but I'm glad he is in my team,” he said earlier in January.
“No-one beats him on work-rate. No-one beats him on attitude.
“Kane is injured so maybe that gives him [Rashford] a better chance to be the best one at the moment.
“At the moment he is very confident in front of goal. He finishes. He tries to shoot. He doesn't think twice about it.”
"He is so calm and assured when he is finishing. That was the first thing I said to him when I met him.
“He had missed some chances and I said: 'No problem. You'll be all right, just settle down a little bit.”
His form has earned him attention from Spain, as The Sun reports that Madrid are hellbent on signing him.
In November, Madrid officials had communication with Rashford’s camp about a deal, and they have not stopped their pursuit.

It is reported that he wants to hold out until the summer before discussing a new deal.
Old Trafford officials could be set to more than treble his wages to £200,000-a-week from his current £60,000 per-week salary.
Elsewhere, Rashford’s strike partner Anthony Martial is expected to announce tomorrow that he has signed a new deal at the club.
Martial, 23, is set to sign a new five-year deal at Old Trafford.
