Caicedo has City dream
FELIPE CAICEDO is set to reject offers from West Ham and Sporting Lisbon and fight for his place at Manchester City.
Ecuador striker Caicedo has made just 10 Premier League starts since a £5.2 million move from Basle in January, 2008.
Caicedo, 20, has been linked with a move away this summer as Mark Hughes, who wants Carlos Tevez, looks to rebuild his squad.
But the player, who has three years left on his contract, wants to stay in Manchester.
Caicedo said: “I received a call from the people at Sporting. There’s a number of clubs in Portugal, Spain and also England. The only English club I can name is West Ham. But I think, for now, I will continue in Manchester.
“I have settled. I’ve been living in this city for a year and a half and I have everything I want here.”
