PSG have noticed difference at Man Utd since Jose Mourinho exit - Julien Laurens
PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN are fully aware of the improvements at Manchester United ahead of their Champions League clash next month.
PSG are aware of Manchesr United improvements says Laurens
That is according to French football expert and ESPN FC pundit Julien Laurens.
PSG and Manchester United will go head-to-head in the last-16 of Europe’s elite club competition.
The Ligue 1 giants were overwhelming favourites when the draw was made back in December.
But since then, Jose Mourinho has been sacked as United boss and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has won all seven of his games in interim charge.
I think that they can see since Mourinho has departed things are much better at United
ESPN presenter Dan Thomas asked Laurens if United’s form had made PSG think a bit more ahead of the tie.
“A lot has changed since the draw was made,” Thomas said.
“Solskjaer coming in, United on that great run of form. How much are PSG sitting up and paying attention to this?”
And Laurens says PSG know affairs are in much better order at Old Trafford now Mourinho has gone.
“Very much so,” he replied.
“I think that they can see since Mourinho has departed things are much better at United.”
Laurens also provided an injury update on PSG midfielder Marco Verratti, who sprained his ankle at the weekend.
“Things were good at PSG until that injury for Marco Verratti on Saturday against Guingamp in the league,” he added.
“It was a great win for Paris but losing Verratti for a sprained ankle where he will be out for around three weeks.
“So it’s touch and go for that game at Old Trafford on February 12.
“He could still play in it but he may not be 100 per cent.
“Would you not play him in the first leg to make sure he’s fully fit and 100 per cent for the second leg in Paris? That’s the question.”
