The German arrived with a big reputation and helped bring the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Sokratis Papastathopoulos - all of which he worked with at Borussia Dortmund - to north London.
Arsenal signed four other players last summer in Emery’s first window in charge, with Stephan Lichtsteiner, Bernd Leno, Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi coming in.

Sherwood believes Mislintat’s exit shows his relationship with Emery was not perfect.
And he does not think the Spanish head coach was pleased with every signing that was made.
“He’s come to the football club, he’s only lasted 18 months, whatever it was,” Sherwood said of Mislintat.
“He came with a big reputation, Mislintat.

“It [the relationship between Emery and Mislintat] doesn’t seem to be a match made in heaven does it at Arsenal.
“It looks like they’re going to be on the change and they’re going to change the system and the way they want to work.
“They’re probably going to bring another one in because that’s the model they want.
